I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that tomorrow is already Thanksgiving. Time flies! Regardless, I have a lot to be thankful for. You know, the usual -- family, friends, pets, health, laughter, food, education, shelter... All those things are so wonderful and hold more weight in our lives than I think we give credit for. Despite how tedious, mundane or unglamorous my life might feel right now, I'm thankful for the way it is. I've learned to enjoy and really appreciate it because someday I'll look back on this time and feel the familiar twinge of nostalgia.
On top of all that, I'm thankful for something else that's little bit different. I'm thankful for what's ahead. I don't think I'm alone in saying it's easy to get wrapped up in the day to day grind and forget what it's all for. Sometimes, I lose sight of all the possibilities that have the potential to unravel with my tomorrows. The house above is just a random house in a random neighborhood of Seattle that I saw while out walking one day, but I love everything about it. It's a house that reminds me of all the things I have to look forward to and how thankful I am for them. Having a future to look forward to is such a gift and should be celebrated. So, that's exactly what I'm going to do.
