“The only true currency in this bankrupt world is what you share with someone else when you’re uncool.” ...There are a lot of lines from Almost Famous that are really good, but that one is probably my favorite. Maybe it doesn't mean as much now because these days it's cool to be uncool. With that aside, though, the heart of that sentence is some good stuff.
If you haven't seen Almost Famous I really just don't know what to do with you. I could watch it a million times. My mom says the movie is from "her era" and she gets all nostalgic and teary-eyed every time it's on... I totally understand why. I mean, even I miss that era and I didn't even live in it. I think it might be my spirit era. There's just something so effortlessly whimsical about it... Kinda like Kate Hudson's hair. Yeah, just like that actually -- effortlessly whimsical.
