Since posting this emotionally charged post about the kids I nannied for the past three years outgrowing me, I've accepted a new nanny job and started working. This new family lives in one of the picturesque neighborhoods of North Seattle and that was one of the main reasons I took the job. I've always lived 20 minutes outside the city and have always longed to live within it's limits. This job, I hope, will be a stepping stone in that direction.
School hasn't started for me yet, so my mornings and early afternoons are usually wide open. I find myself heading into the city hours before I'm needed to pick the girls up from school just so I can wander the different areas. There are far more coffee place options than one could ever keep up with and on every block I find a charming house that I love. There are so many different types of art to take in and little shops to meander through.
...Speaking of art, those whaleboats pictured above were done by one of my favorite artists, Kyler Martz. I have a post with more art and information on him planned for later this week. Seriously, he's so good.
